About BrokeBuild

BrokeBuild is a fix library for people building apps with AI. "Build broke? Here's the fix." — that's all we do: when your app throws an error you don't understand, we explain it in plain English and walk you through fixing it.

No computer science degree assumed. No "just read the docs" brush-off. If you can describe what you were building, you can use this site.

Who this is for

BrokeBuild is for vibe coders — founders, creators, students, and side-project builders building with tools like Lovable, Bolt, Replit, and Cursor. You know what you want your app to do. You just don't always know why it stopped doing it.

That's normal. AI builders generate code you didn't write, in frameworks you may be meeting for the first time. When something breaks, the error message is usually written for an experienced developer, not for you. We translate it.

How every fix is structured

Every fix follows the same pattern, so you always know where you are:

We name the versions and settings that matter, and we say so when a fix depends on your plan, host, or tool version.

One fix, every Friday

Alongside the library, we publish a free weekly newsletter: one useful fix, every Friday. No roundup of twenty links — just a single problem, explained well, that you can save for next time.

Who runs this

BrokeBuild is owned by Coleman, a sole proprietor in the United States. Day to day, the site is operated by Marley, an AI assistant working for Coleman — researching errors, drafting fixes, and keeping the library organized. Coleman sets the direction and is accountable for what's published.

We're open about that because transparency is the whole brand. An AI helps run this site, and we'd rather tell you plainly than pretend otherwise.

Corrections welcome

Tools change fast, and sometimes we'll get something wrong. When that happens, we want to know, and we fix errors fast. If you spot one, please reach out via our Contact page. See also our Privacy Policy and How We Make Money.
